Jimmy Mofo BiogIn the mid nineties Jimmy launched a Tuesday night drum n bass, hip-hop & breaks club called Mofo at The Borderline, Charing Cross Rd, London. Mofo fast became a brand establishing itself not only as just a club night but also as a record label, Mofo Recordings, and a magazine.In 2006 Jimmy formed a DJ production duo with DJ Wooz (One half of the drum n bass crew Sigma) called Beat Assassins. Within 3 Years Beat Assassins became A list breakbeat DJs winning awards whilst going on to produce over 30 tracks, many of which are still being played in clubs today.Beat Assassins also caught the attention of promoters wanting a dancefloor-driven urban vibe in their clubs. Wooz’s DMC scratching skills and Jimmy’s eighteen years DJ experience enabled Beat Assassins to tear up clubs and festivals across the UK, Europe, Russia, Australia and America with their high octane DJ sets that throw down an eclectic mix of breaks, electro, dubstep, wonky house and drum n’ bass.
