Russian act Technical Lovers, perhaps best known for more club-oriented progressive and tech house, presents the deep new single "Violette." A subterranean atmosphere is created early with a variety of highly reverb'd synth stabs and light pad swells. The resultant soundscape is reminiscent of the music that would accompany a walk through the London Tube on a rainy day in the early morning. In the break, the beat drop outs, and only an echoing rhythm is left to underpin the subtle melodic tones. Asten, who recently treated deep house fans to the lovely EP "Abuqua," offers the first of two interpretations. His remix is even more laid back and features a gut-filling sub, as well as a variety of lovely synth effects throughout. Finally, Sandji, who has been supported heavily by the likes of Eelke Kleijn of late, offers a glorius take. A floating-on-air atmosphere is created early, as a subby bass pattern carried the lower-end. As the track progresses, a light arp slowly crescendoes and seems to dance amidst the celestial pads.
