Bio:

Born in the country of samba and bossa nova, this talented Brazilian DJ and Producer started his career in 1996. When he started mixing, his first influences were labels such as Axis and Design Music, which he considers as his main references. He was discovered by a leading producer and Dj from Primate Records UK who invited him to mix at the well-known Geneva club «Weetamix» with Luke Slater. Luke Slater has been awarded by DJ Magazine UK and is considered as one of the best DJ in the world. Paul Eg soon found the approach of recording for other people’s labels too restrictive for his own creative output that in 2004 he set about producing materials for a new dynamic sound destined to be released on his own label. He started to produce under the name «Bio Booster» which was influenced by Marco Carola and the techno sound from Naples. Before starting his own label, he took his first steps into production and later on released on the famous German Christian Fisher techno label's Definition Records with the EP “Swibras”. In parallel, he also produced a record for Negativ Music label under the name «Negativ Men». The release also included a remix by Random Noize, a Neapolitan Producer, who released on Zenit. After this release, Paul Eg signed with the prestigious international label Bush Records. Eric Powell licensed one of his tracks, which appeared on Bush Records compilation and included producers like Eric Powell, G-Flame, Thomas Schumacher, Joey Beltram, Trevor Rockliffe, Woody McBride and Dave Clark. Ethnik Groove was finally born in Brazil in 2004, "Undecided Destination" was the first "EP" of Ethnik Groove. It was remixed by the famous Italian producer Markantonio, founder of Analytictrail Records. After very good feedbacks on the musical quality of his new label, world famous djs and producers such as Davide Squillace (Ovum, Desolat), Phillip Braunstein (Superbra, G-Force) and Umberto Carmignani (G-Force, Rotation Records) decided to support Paul Eg with releases and remixes on his label. Under Bio Booster, he released solid techno productions on many international labels with renowned artists such as Felipe & Nicolas Bacher, Devilfish, Adam Jay, Lowdown, Umberto Carmignani, Paul Mac and Phillip Braunstein. He founded Minimo Imprint in 2006 with the alias Paul Eg, « Eg » referring to the initials of Ethnik Groove, synonyms of his high quality outputs. The objective was to discover and produce ultra-fresh DJ music that he could play on his ever-expanding international gigging schedule. The first Minimo Imprint released by Paul Eg & Eriko Tanabe was acclaimed and played by lots of international artists. Jeff Bennett, Florien Meindl, Liberto, Quantec, David Lazzari and Eriko Tanabe support his talent of quality production and have decided to produce and remix on his own label.
