Uakoz is an Italian techno titan who's been building momentum for the last few years. He has released a couple fine EPs on Riot Recordings and Ground Factory Records and has picked up healthy support in the process. He has a fulsome main room sound that is impossible to ignore and excels on the two originals he serves up here.
It all kicks off with What Goes Around, a deep and moody cut that is patient in the way it builds with a slithering bassline and lumpen drums. Subtle effects, reverb and wet claps all punctuate groove and get you nodding and tapping in no time.
Prolific Brighton based techno producer Tom Laws turns out two remixes of What Goes Around. The first is a spaced out DeepDrive Mix that does just what it says on the tin with its supple drums and sparse atmospheres. The second version is a much more firmly rooted cut with earth shaking drums, neo-soul synths and lots of earthy textures going to show why this producer has been such a success on labels such as Respekt Recordings & Phobiq as well as !Organism.
Finally, Punchline is a dark, jostling and post apocalyptic effort with hurried drums and never jailing synths spraying about like searchlights. Its arresting and will standout whenever it is dropped.
This is another notable release amongst !Organisms ever more essential schedule.
