Some things are meant to be together. Like sand and water. Nightclubs and single people. Or DJ Paul Deighton and Darren Flatman. This very house-duo goes through life as the funkalicious “Loverats”. The group finds it origin in 2005, debuting with their groovy bestseller “Your Woman.” Gaining recognition in the house-scene, it didn’t take a very long time before the rats broke through not only behind the wheels of steel, but also behind the beat-making boards. A few years after their breakthrough, Deighton is now touring European nighclubs as a Ministry of Sound Housexy resident. Darren a.k.a. DJ Daz Flatman is causing havoc on the dancefloors as a wellknown resident of various British nightclubs. The gents are increasingly investing their time in producing their own tracks, as well for remixing tracks for friends and partners. The road-to-riches story of the rats have led to their second succes, “Sweetest Love”. The track features soul-sensation Sara Petterson and will be released under the wings of Dutch label Chega. The track feels as if its been soaking in a bucket of summer for years. Even during these months you will think you’re chilling out at the beach of Copa Cabana while you’re getting lost in the groove’s and the funky horns of the sweetest, sweetest love you will ever hear. The single will come up with remixes from Andy Ward, Niel’C and Dulac.
