As Tim Penner once again hit the Proton Music catalogues in March 2017 with his "Lost Again" EP, the Canadian talent reached new heights with his unique blend of sumptuous melodies and sparkling rhythms. Yin and Yang now revisit the EP with new remixes of "Kharon" from France and Belgium.

A French collaboration combining the talents of musician Willy Réal and renowned DJ and producer David Prap, Datametrik has found itself with a clutch of hugely impressive releases. Highly respected artists in their own rights, a debut release for Dave Seaman's Selador in September 2017 saw the "Zenon EP" showcase the Datametrik name alongside blue-chip remixes from B Pitch Control favourite Kiki and Bristol's dubspeeka from the UK hotbed of talent. Further work for their Inlab Recordings in the shape of January 2018's "The Shadows" and May's "Sun" continues to find Datametrik at the epicenter of the melodic techno sound.

Reworking "Kharon," Datametrik create a dark new offering that takes Penner's work on voyage full of searing analogue synth lines and bubbling arpeggio riffs that wax and wane in open-filtered glory. Paying heed to the themes inherent in the original, a chest-thumping kick and driving hi-hat percussion add a dynamic rhythmic framework while a rasping, growling bassline adds depth and intrigue in abundance.
