Following on from their previous two releases which were hammered across the globe by everyone from Rusko to DJ Hype, as well as all the BBC radio tastemakers including Bailey, Crissy Criss, Mistajam and Nerm, LionDub International is back with another sublime dance floor killing 12". This time they drop the tempo to 140bpm and roll out two immense dubstep tracks from Zero G, Marcus Visionary and Satori.
Taking the lead on the A side comes Zero G (Digital Soundboy, Warner), a close friend of D&B and dubstep warrior Benny Page. Zero G offers up Bass Culture, a rinsing dubstep number full of sparse beats, disgusting bass switches and dancehall vocal snippets, so good that its already getting support from the likes of Skream, N-Type and BBC 1Xtras, Mistajam. This will be the first of many exciting releases from Zero G, as he crafts a unique and distinctive sound for LionDub International.
Flip over and youll find Marcus Visionary teaming up with Satori, a mysterious figure who has been smashing dancefloors for some time with his hard-hitting dubstep tracks on the Positive Thought label. Between them they pull out a distinctly sexy take on dubstep with a taste of UK funky, the current trend thats blowing up nightclubs and radio waves all over the place. In The VIP cunningly blends up skipping percussion and 4/4 beats with an aggressive bassline that will surely get any club moving.
With talented producers such as these, creating a new standard for dubstep, its little wonder that Mistajam, Skream, Rusko, N-Type, Seven, Youngsta, Noah D and plenty more of the worlds top DJs are flocking to support LionDub International. Dont sleep on their next huge project, a six track digital EP followed by the full length debut album from Marcus Visionary.
