Rick Carbonell’s passion for electronic dance music was sparked in the skating rinks of Tampa, Florida, where electro-funk, freestyle, and Miami bass ruled the late ’80s and early ’90s. By age 13, he was teaching himself to mix with nothing more than a cassette deck and a belt-driven turntable borrowed from his parents’ stereo. Now, more than 25 years later, Rick Carbonell channels his lifelong passion for the genre into producing progressive-driven originals and remixes. His music has found homes on respected labels, including Stripped Recordings, Capital Heaven, Prognosis, Morphosis Records, 20K Freaks and Vantablak — marking the next
