Influenced by a mixture of reggae, rock and classical music from a young age SubAtomic's influences came from multiple genres. Then came Sub's Investment in a pair of belt driven turntables at 15 and buying early jungle and drum & bass.
Shortly after this his love for House & Garage was born. He totally fell in love with the sound of TuffJam, Todd Edwards, Steve Gurley, Dreem Teem, Wookie and Grant Nelson.
In particular loved the way that Garage could be soulful, minimal or dark and hard.
Attending events in the late 90's, watching the headliners of the day at iconic venues such as Camden Palace, Ministry Of Sound, Fabric, Bagley's, The Cross and The End.
Sub's debut 4 track 'A Better Place' EP released April reached number 1 on the Juno Download UK Garage charts and Beatport top 10 Garage/Grime/Bassline releases.
With support from DJ EZ on Kiss FM and his Nuvolve Radio show, Smokey Bubblin B on Rinse FM and DJ Impact on Flex FM amongst many others.
SubAtomic's debut album via MIRAW features a fusion of old and new Garage, across the spectrum of the genre. From the darker minimal 2 Step to the more playful 4x4 sound.
