Ondula is the full EP and follow up to the single release of Moai by Alaix Pulse. It reflects the broader vision of the great human experience that is his journey. Encountering and discovering new sounds like those of nature or unconventional instruments like the hang. This EP continues to tell this everlasting story by traveling through oriental music and aboriginal culture before heading back to France where Alaix fused his journey together in his studio in Marseille. The changes in atmosphere between the tracks represents the ability to be able to adapt to new situations when traveling to unknown places. Using percussion instruments like congas claves and the maracas to emphasize this and to form a convergence between ancestral music and electronic music. Adding to the experience are the use of different synthesizers like the Juno6 and many crossbass elements like the vibrations of flutes and interkick bass elements to give the EP more depth. For the sake of consistency and quality this EP also reflects Alaix perfectionistic side. Trying to make sure that each element has its specific place in the tracks to make sure they really pop out and give the quality of the sounds the space it deserves. As a result the production went through many phases before arriving at the final result. Which is guaranteed to have give you the desire to hear more.
