Neverdie has teamed up with Freakone Records for the release of JBaby's new single, "Home". With remixes by some of the hottest house producers out there in ferKKo, So Cool Network and Billboard chart topping production outfit, Soulshaker, this one is sure to set your dancefloors alight.
JBaby was born in Nigeria, one of seven children. JBaby first moved to Lagos, where she worked as a cleaner in a restaurant, earning only about 10 euros per month, but the wages were too low to send back to care for her family. She met a lady in the restaurant who arranged for her to travel to Spain for 45,000 euros which she would have to pay when she started working in Spain. JBaby had no real concept of how much money 45,000 euro really was until she was told to start to work as a prostitute on Las Rambla in Barcelona to pay off the debt. For the first two years she paid over 10,000 Euros and over time she was able to start to send a little money home to her family.
A chance encounter with a musician on Las Rambla inspired JBaby to start writing songs and singing. While Still working nights on Las Rambla, she was able to make it to a recording studio to record her first song "Let's Go!", and her follow up single "Home". JBaby continues to write more songs, hoping she can break free from the streets and gain legal residency in Spain.
