Following his successful take on dark-tinted techno entitled "Last Snow" earlier this year on Cobra Voyage's MEX Revolt compilation, Reptare returns to the Mexico based imprint CVMR with a 3 track package : "Natural" EP. The original mix for "Natural" kicks things off with the obscure low-slung vibe that has become a signature for most of Reptare's creations. Piano chords echo through a mist of sitar sounding transients creating a perfect atmosphere for low-light club after hours. Iori Asano continues the journey through his own interpretation of "Natural" maintaining a similar yet dubbed-out aesthetic of the original mix. Asano exploits the danceable shade of Reptare's version with a heavy synth stab workout providing a unique approach that can catch the attention of any dub techno enthusiast. Reptare closes off the package with a second original piece entitled "Not Interesting", which without a doubt, does not notch down the release like the title suggests. The track's bass line functions as a medium to lock a mysterious pad-like tension while 707 rim-shots pierce throughout the mix giving us a very dark Chicago-styled craft. A sinister yet club friendly finish.
