"With every DJ set I play I try to give listeners something different, give them a break from what they hear in the main rooms around the world. Hopefully I open their ears and provide a chance to release." Seth Krafft's live sets have been a source of reckless dance floor rioting for the past 7 years. He has infected audiences at venues across Europe, Asia and the US, and now focuses on his residence Los Angeles, CA. Krafft is a German American who came to America when he was 10 years old. He has lived all over the United States, yet his sound is undeniably German - drawing from a darker side of house with dirty basslines that shift into techno. His inspirations run from Felix Da Housecat and Carl Cox on the house side to Richie Hawtin and Sven Vath on the techno. Krafft began his career as a percussionist. Countless DJs claim to have started out learning how to beat match with records in their basements, but he doesn't claim that dubious distinction. Krafft is first and foremost a musician, a artist and designer who chose dance music as his muse because to him it is a emotional even spiritual medium that connects us positively. It's not about wealth, not about materialism, it's not about being part of a trend. It's about music and emotion. Krafft has played Avalon LA, Exchange LA, Vanguard LA, Voyeur SD, Bassmnt SD, and headlined countless venues from Wall Miami, Nikki Beach Miami, to Nikki Beach Cabo San Lucas. He was named 365 Magazine's "Hot DJ/ Producer for summer 2009". He recently launched his record label 'Midnight Music Machine' and hosts a podcast on iTunes of the same name. You can catch him at Exchange LA monthly, where he's currently in residence.
