Klarheit (Alex Atkinson) has long been fascinated withmusic, and utterly immersed in EDM since the days of Blank& Jones and the Benassi Bros. Since Alex's first classicalacoustic guitar at 6 years old, he has been drawn to theconnection he feels with life by creating music. From the rockband in the garage to producer using Ableton, Alex hasalways felt his future gravitate towards a desire to createand live vicariously through his own productions. In 2005,Alex began his venture into the world of Djing andProduction.Behind a pair of CDJ-800s, it wasn't long before Klarheitwas in demand for shows around the world. With an initialmash-up release of Hybrid & Deamdau5 with the vocals ofTaylor Swift reaching 100,000 plays w tens of thousands ofdownloads, and a remix of Booka Shade, reaching 60,000plays and also with tens of thousands of downloads,Klarheit was soon playing some of the world's biggest andbest venues and festivals. Shortly after landing one of thefirst residencies at Beta Nightclub in Denver, CO (#1 club inthe US & #14 club in the world – DJ Mag Top 100 2012),Klarheit was booked for performances at Avalon Hollywood,CA, Escape in Amsterdam, NL, La Santanera in Playa delCarmen, MX, Karu n y in Miami, FL, and many others. Inaddition to being booked at some of the world's greatestnightclubs, Klarheit was also soon playing festivals, such asUltra Music Festival 2010, Winter Music Conference, theBPM Festival in Playa del Carmen, MX, and headlining 2ndmain stage at T he Big Bang in Denver, CO.But Klarheit's true talent and passion lies in his productions.Lacking classical or formal musical training of any kind,Klarheit taught himself all he knows about production, musictheory, and synthesis. He feels that he has finally built asound and style he can call his own, and with releases onmultiple indie labels; features on music blogs; and winningremix contests, Klarheit is undoubtedly on the rise. Hisprogressive house melodies are often coupled with electrohouse bass lines, growling over the tech-house influencedpercussion which is always grooving and moving through allof his productions. Klarheit will continue to put out music allover the world through his own indie label, AgainstRecordings, as well as through many other indie labelsthroughout the world.
