EIIV is a pet project by Ribal Rayess, a music producer who has been consistantly digging in the studio and putting out work that is turning heads and raising brows since 2012. NYC was where his initial love for vinyl started. Playing records for friends at his loft in Greenpoint turned him and roommate and buddy Mickey Perez onto DJing around Brooklyn and that soon turned him onto producing his own music in 2008.Few years later after setteling in Beirut city and partnering up with VL Records label head Ceasar K. Rayess releases his first ever official EP as Escape to Venus. The release was called "Space romance" a dark Nu Disco track with a big room sound and new wave vibes it attracted a few worthy Djs/producers to remix the track and release was very well received and got some fair buzz on Beatport and some blogs.Next, the "Hamack" EP was shot out to the masses. A conceptual 3 track EP that told the story of a man's inner dialogue and need to escape his rotting plannet in the year 2069. "Haymack" had range, from down tempo bouncy beats and funky bass lines, to Deep House propelling vibes, the release had range.Again it was well received and hit the Bastport charts with two of its tracks and also was charted by a few DJs.At the moment EIIV is on to the 5th release on VL Records, with "Thieves of Hearts" Feat Tara Dobson (out on April 29th 2013), "Just another after party" Featuring Vatche coming up in May. The 6th release is a Nu Disco track titled "Cosmic shake" and will be put out on the disco record label Launching Satellites.
