The Coolbreezers is a young duo formed by Dj/Producer Francesco De Giorgio and Italo-Australian Singer/Songwriter Francesca Condello. "What Makes Us Different", the debut album from this amazing group, is a mix of synthetic and creatively manipulated sounds, torn between winding house-dance rhythms and charming atmospheric tunes, with a lounge music. The album showcases a 'sidechain, with 'It's Electro", singy pop with "No Hope", tones of Drum & Bass in the track "You've Gotta", catchy melodies of "Grow Up" and "Spies", and an evocative and haunting chorus in "Love Arcade". Altogether, these sounds make this album a jam packed collection of intriguing and sophisticated sounds, indicating a peculiar penchant for manipulation and persuasive electronics, combined with the angelic voice, blissful melodies and poetic lyrics written and sang by Francesca.
The Cooolbreezers formula is a blend of incredibly current sounds, expertly mixed and produced by Francesco, almost like a soundtrack of the new century: chilling electronic slithers, bassline house loops, playful melodies, trip-hop beats ... but also "easy listening" tracks that allow the listener to hum the song after only hearing it once ... altogether it creates a "different" sound, as they express in their album title.
The soul of the album is consistantly supported by Electro-Pop and creates the "pathway" of the disc that leads you through every track. And it is this element that balances out the album between the peculiarities of The Coolbreezers "Hot" and "Cold" sounds.
"Not to be too modest, we (The Coolbreezers) believe that our album really is different from what you will hear around town, and every track (there are 16 of them) is different from the next" - they say - "Growing through this process, we went from creating normal 'house' music, to more mature and cultured productions with many different influences."
In turn, this further confirms that the Italian music scene is one of the most prolific and underestimated music laboratories on the music scene in recent years, with young artists who KICK ass, with big results on the charts.
