As summer heats up, we send you into underground territory with Paul Donton's To The Unknown EP.
Paul, who is label boss of Bombis Records, sends us a dirty tech house jam that will fit nicely into your deep, dubby sets. Paul gives us two options to play with: the original sends you on a weird trip into the Unknown with a dark vocal driving the message of the track. The dub takes you there as well, with more of the focus on the rhythms and atmosphere.
Paul Donton is a machine when comes to production.
Paul also records as Eviltron, collaborates with label partner Dave Brennan, with Rob Pearson and is also with Daniel Mancini as The Maersk Project.
Keep an eye out for his releases on Bombis, Eviltron Music, Konform, Drug Sex and Evasive Records.
The first remix is techno bliss from the legend, Orlando Voorn. Orlando has always been a unique driving force behind the global techno scene. He comes at you from all directions, often using one of his guises to fill your record box since the early 90's. From Basic Bastard, Fix, and Playboy to the Nighttripper…Voorn delivers. Always!
We are excited to have him on Slightly Off with his remix of ' To The Unknown'.
A chugging, dripping techno bomb that works in any DJ set.
The trippy vocal floats in, mingling with the drums…then slams you home with a vibe that will leave hands in the air.
The last remix is a sneaky, dark jam that will filter the minds of those that have lost theirs. Perfect for that seedy afterhours, we are so happy to have Dutchie throw is remix our way. His hypnotic remix has the punchy drums and silky strings that has come to define Dutchie's unique sound. He manages to capture the clean and the dirty here and hand it back to us as a late night masterpiece. Whether you hear him as one half of Delicate Droids on MR.C's label SuperFreq imprint or as an individual artist, Dutchie brings a unique sound to the table. With releases on Bombis Records/Zombie SoundSysytem/ Two Forks Records/Right Nut Records, and Evasive Records his approach always does the business.
So there you have it!
Another fine package coming from Tampa's Slightly Off Records
