A celebrated musician for decades, Paul Keeley has a unique gift of being able to translate minimalistic ambiences for heavy emotional pull and sway. With his unique chordal progressions, much similar to modal jazz harmonizations, Paul Keeley presents us this summer with a full albums worth of lush, textural emotional electronic music. There is no clear term for the arrangements within each piece, and the overarching motif throughout this artist album is a need for freedom - both in the musical sense with a lack of formal arrangements which belie club or pop sensibilities, but also one that connects more with a meditative ruse. On the opening record of 'Plat' - you have a calm floating ambience, followed shortly thereafter with 'Wolcano' - a darker, more jaunting piece that lays the bricks for the road upcoming. We are proud to present this body of work as it shows the capabilities of sound and how minimalism can achieve an extremely strong emotional impact.
