The sample is the atomic scission driving all GEC compositions. There are no instruments, electronic or otherwise - only samples. All samples are treated equally as having an infinite degree of potential for musical realization. The music is a plastic art form, not unlike painting or sculpture, in that its designed to produce an artifact independent of the creative process - in other words, it is not an art related to performance or the moment. Suggested modes of listening include an auditory implant to bypass the eardrum and deliver the sounds directly to the sage. In lieu of such technology, headphones should suffice. With this, in the minds milieu, GECs music may be seen as specifically designed for a post-singularity culture. It is also possible that simple probabilities may exist within some hypothetical philosophy and technological convergence of singular predictions. It might be possible that this is not really music at all, but an abstract form of a hybrid IDM genre.
