The world has opened up and the rule book was destroyed long ago. It's clear now that house and disco can be slow, that dub and hip-hop can be fast. All that matters is the nodding of heads and the tapping of feet.

Roadblocks, encapsulates this ethos perfectly. From its slow-mo 4x4 groove to jazz inflected keys all the way to the bitter refrain of a man whose chosen herbal remedy is demonised and destroyed.

This is late-night up-late music without compromise, just how we like it

On hand to remix the track is none other than Toka Project aka Andy Riley. In over 15 years in the music business as both label boss of Drop Music and as one half of the Inland Kinghts Andy has established himself one of the most important players in the deep house scene.
So we expected big things from his remix and he didn't disappoint us! His remix twists the original into a driving dirty 3 am tech house stomper that manages to keep all the atmospheric and groove of the original.

Marcus Aurelius, fresh from a number of quality releases on highly respected deep house imprint Kolour recordings strips things down with a relentless groove and cool use of the key samples.

Of course this wouldn't be a Trendy release without The Quirk Burglars adding their own unique spin with a deep and dubby interpretation of the track.
