Sunlightsquare launch their brand new Latin Combo project, unleashing a scorching album ripe with stunning authentic Latin-Jazz grooves titled 'Havana Central'. Oozing with a dramatic tapestry of sun-kissed percussive rhythms, firey brass and infectious salsa keys, 'Havana Central' is an audio ticket to Latin shores! Sporting an array of feel good original pieces, SLC dish up party flavours including 'Para Guarachar' which has been championed by the likes of Gilles Peterson and Craig Charles among many.

The Sunlightsquare Latin Combo project sees band Leader Claudio Passavanti embrace his love for Cuban music and along with the help of local producer Antonio Rodríguez Sr. was able to book a session at the historical Studio 4 of Radio Rebelde in Cuba (The station was set up in 1958 by Che Guevara). The album was recorded through the hurricanes Gustav, Hannah and Ike. Sometimes there wasn't enough power for the lights so they had to record by candlelight, which certainly added to the atmosphere!  The Latin Combo project features the crème de la crème of musicians from the Latin world of music including: Lazaro Antonio Rodríguez (Toni) Bongo, Vocals); Giovanni Imparato (Congas); Ignacio R. "El Chispa" Cervantes  (Bass); Rayhner Lasserie (Timbale); Luis Amaurys Leyva Suárez (Tres); Yanko Pizaco & Alexander Valdés Sarduy (Trumpet:);Yamil Rivero Cárdenas &  Joel Sagó Bell (Trombone) and backing vocals from Danaily Hernandes Del Valle, Rayhner Lasserie, Lazaro Antonio Rodríguez, Tasita D'Mour and Claudio Passavanti himself.
