Tronic continues its roll out of summer bombs with the Origin/Freed two-tracker from Dosem, an artist who has previously made a name for himself with sterling output for Technasia sub-label SINO.

Girona-born Dosem (aka Marc Ramirez) has a reputation built on his ability to combine his love of techno, house and electro and create tracks which drawn on all three. Always futuristic in terms of sound design, Dosems output is always energetic and melodic qualities which Tronic label-boss Christian Smith is more than engaged by.

Origin is the first of the two tracks and it opens proceedings with an epic, synth heavy vibe. Filtered, impeccably programmed drums gently unfurl into a persistently padding groove that kicks on a big system. As the track opens up to drop, metallic synth chords shimmer out of the groove and deliver a massive punch. The intensity grows continually throughout and the melodies are pushed to their maximum, making this an unashamed anthem.

The flipsides Freed, while more heads down than its counterpart, is certainly no shrinking violet. Driving drums are topped with long, building vocal screams and rising synths create a feverish atmosphere that, added to a pulsing and brutish bassline, goes off.
