Ecstatic is the only word we can think of to describe our feelings for this release. For years it's been a personal goal of mine (Aaron Waters) to find someone who was just as passionate about Native American culture as I am but who possessed the right quality music production skills and forsight for the vision that was stirring within me and create something unique in Trance. In my continuous search I had some interest but nothing ever came to fruition and became increaslngly frustrating as I found in my search that although dancing is a central part of Native culture, to my surprise there are nearly zero dance music producers within the Native American culture to speak of for the exception of the massively popular First Nation Native DJ group 'A Tribe Called Red' in Canada. To my surprise this year I made a connection with a DJ/Producer under the alias Kova based in Oklahoma who also happens to be part Native American and had been working on production using samples from a song produced by a Native American music group called 'Tha Tribe' which had been previously released on Native American record label Canyon Records. After working for several months to officially clear the samples for use in the song and agreeing to name the original group behind the native chants and singing, Kova developed the final product, we established several remixers, Narayan (Kansas City) SWIFT (Texas) and Sy Gardner (UK) although Sy was unable to complete the song in time for the release we are looking forward to a future solo release of his remix in the coming months. We proudly present to you the final product aptly named 'Indigenous' which harnesses the power and energy euphoric melodies of 140 bpm Uplifting Trance with carefully woven samples of the ghostly native chants, powerful organic beats of leather drums and chiming of bells on the feet of Pow-Wow dancers harkening back to more humble times when Native American Indian's were the rulers of their own destiny. Joining the package is Narayan with his own hyrbid of Psy and Tech Trance that really nails the same energy and zest of the original but brings a whole different set of psychedelic elements to the table with heavy, dark and iconic acid basslines changing the whole dynamic of the chants to a more warriroesque feeling. Our 3rd addition to the package we bring you SWIFT's more minimal approach yet powerful, a much different sound altogether from the other two with no specific genre you can tag it with.
