Have we got a summer extravaganza for you folks? Oh yes we have!!!!!!! ... Please give a warm welcome for her debut on Phunky Rabbit DAQUEEN of Southern Soul Stephanie McDee. Yes right out of deep south Louisiana New Orleans. I dont really know how I got chatting with Stephanie on the internet but boy, I'm so glad I did. We hit it off straight away and I knew we were singing from the same hymn sheet. I had a couple of backing tracks from Lucius Lowe so i presented them to her with the idea may be she could get on one of them. She loved them so much she asked me if she could do both. Well here is the first one. She went in the studio and straight away got the hook and title of the track 'I Like To Party'. Lucius needs no introduction of course .... already well established in the Soulful House scene with his own style we know and love so much. Remixers were so eager to get on this one I decided to let them all loose on it. We have 12 mixes in all for you in many varied styles so there really should be something for every one. I did one in my usual deep style but I felt I should also do one in a live style party vibe .... so for the first time you have 2 Placidic Dream mixes on the same package. Sudad G has spent the best part of the last year building a state of the art studio. In fact he tells me this was his first project in his new surroundings. Here he teams up again with fellow maestro Eduardo Tristao to create a massive club vibe which is exactly what is happening right now in Ibiza this summer. The guys also provided a dub version to give you more choice so that is also included on the release. Next FrankStar makes another guest appearance from his 4th Quarter Music label. Again great vibe that would work just about anywhere. Phunky Rabbit regular Rampus does a superb production in his usual style but also gives you a Techy vibe mix as a bonus. BBwhite does a Classic Mix with a synth solo that will rip through your very soul. Pure dope as usual. E39 who has also become a regular on the label now does a Retro Future Mix. His style is creating a big vibe in the House music world and it is easy to see why. Now every one knows i have always had a soft spot for the Deep House vibe coming out of South Africa. I have helped many of the guys on their way right from the start of Phunky Rabbit. I would like to introduce you to Crazy B (SA) and La Dino. The guys have done 2 cool mixes to take us out of the release straight into the sunset.
Stephanie would like to thank Blackboy Productions for recording her vocals in Alabama.
As always it is all about the music here at Phunky Rabbit and on behalf of all of us involved we hope you all love the package.
