First up is the tongue in cheek Grindr, which features deep house beats, jazzy chords and some spritely electronics, but the main hook is the breathy vocal line that muses on the tracks title (an app for finding gay and bi curious people near you). New London collective South Soul Project flip the track into a much more writhing and urban sounding affair with solid kicks, face melting synth screws and hiccupping, funky drums.
The other original is The Way You Kiss, an ebullient bit of rave influenced house music with nervy synth stabs, chopped and sliced female vocals and plenty of dirty guitar riffs all muddled together into one perpetually tense bit of main room action. Its dynamic and colourful and is always on the move.
Joe Goddard steps up to remix The Way You Kiss, creating what will surely be one of the years early club smashes as a result. His flailing house rework features plenty of bendy and colourful tones, neon chords and skipping garage percussion. Its clean and crisp, anthemic and propulsive in equal measure and really sets this package alight.
youngTEE never misses, so when paired with remixes of the quality of Joe Goddard you know you have another essential release on your hands.
