The Spanish DJ and producer Hector Couto isnt just part of these young guard of a new generation in his homeland, Couto is more than a talented newcomer. The man from Tenerife already spread his flair for timeless dancefloor hits with a special twist on labels like Viva Music, Saved Records and Brise Records. After his Chicago-enlightened remix for Douglas Greeds track "Summerless" (BPC287), the Spaniard now debuting with his own "Frequencies EP" on BPitch Control.Get Ready opens the four pumping house pieces with a stringent drumbeat. Not only because of the 909 claps as well as the charming and progressive bass line, the track breathes a good deal of underground flair. Both the gentle percussion and the subtle vocal cut brightened the already upbeat piece up further. Gettin Closer not only emphasizes his skills in terms of climax, but turns out to be a small floor monster with an indispensable jack factor. After the oracular vocals claps and feisty break beats moves the piece forward, while the almost nautical bass line immediately focuses the dancefloor. Even after the break the sex between the patterns is maintained and completes this dark house jewel. Kick This So also lives by this inimitable Couto groove that is convincing already with its first tunes. The old-school percussion, a swirling bass line and the Acid-indicated Sci-Fi spirals only leads to one conclusion: turn off your brain and turn on your heart! State Of Mind together with its percussion spleen and the chirping hi-hats builds the perfect laid-back closure, in which the stop-motion bass line unfolds a melodic figure on its own. Four deep tracks that proof that Hector Couto is not only heaped with talent his catchy, versatile and historically conscious sounds are a guarantee for dancefloor ecstasy. Move Your Body!
