Cavum is a 21 year old young guy coming from Angers. He has been listening Psychedelic rock for a long time, so it has inspired him a lot. About 4 years ago, he started to listen and dig harsh techno. This was the beginning of the « electronic education. » The peak has been his 6 months stay in Berlin. This was where he started to produce on Ableton. The dark and independant atmosphere has been a huge source of idea and thoughts for him. Landscapes, geometry, and raw structures are the right balance between nature and town. It guides his music and life, at the frontier of experimentation.
When he came back and started to live in Paris, he decided to keep going. Mostly influenced by abstract techno artists, such has Oscar Mulero, Lewis Fautzi, and Terence Fixmer, he decided to go further. His constant research of spatial and agressive tones feeds his growing passion for synthesizers and drum-computers. Pretty quickly, he focuses his work on hardware, and also started a house project under the name RCDO. This ecclectisme allows him to travel and feed both univers, from joyful and groovy song to dark and deep work. A live machine gig would be a consecration.
As any detail seems important for him, his music is raw. The Eye Phasing EP is mostly built on efficient rythme, frequencies oscillations, and agressive leads. The Approch of music is purely instinctive. Kicks are dry, white noises lost in space, and acid sticking in the head. The sound Hypnotica introduces to the rest of a violent and dark work, such as Mentality Avoidance. Red and Self-Reduction fit more with warehouse techno, but we still can hear twisted sounds. When he is producing, nothing is really planned at the beginning. He lets his mind work, and then adjusts and organizes. This instinctive approach allows him to compose a lot of tracks, but also make things harder when it comes to focus.
Anyway, other Twisted Works are on their way.
