Mysterious producer Savage Grass has put together a wicked EP for Ampispazi, backed up with remixes from label head Mik Santoro and usual suspect Paul Schmidpeter. Mik Santoro tends to successfully find immense talent from beyond the crowded surface of artists in the underground scene. Savage Grass is one of them. There is really little information about the artist online, so we had to let the music do the talking. 'Dimensions EP' features 2 very different originals and 2 very different remixes. The rawness of Savage Grass's tracks are in contrast with the quality productions of the two remixes, making this a complete package. 'Safe Dimension' is reminiscent of the most classic Berlin sound, inspired by labels like Innervision or Afterlife: strong hooks, long breaks, heavy drops. Mik Santoro's remix brings it down, to a more spiritual tone. His version is in the style of James Holden's old stuff: trippy, early morning-esque. The second original, 'Another Dimension', is a softer and deeper cut, perfectly merging Techno and House, for another after party tune. The Ep closes with aul Schmidpeter's remix of 'Another Dimension'. The track mixes analogue drums, broken grooves, and it sounds like early Project Pablo and Pacific Rhythm Always with Love
