Riki Ild is back and this with a fantastic four-track ep called Dark One EP. In it we have a fantastic blend of tech house and underground sounds that for example we can clearly appreciate in the first track Mordor. This track also adds a bit hypnotism with its backend synth present during the whole track, which plays around with your head perfectly. The solid and groovy bass line gives the track a lot of energy and power too. The Mordor Dub Mix haves a lot more work with the rhythms and we also do not hear as many tech hi-hats as we hear in the Original, but still these are perfectly replaced with the percussions that works as leading element through the trip of the track. Planet Reconstruction is the most different track in this ep and that is due mainly because of the deeper aura generated by the synthetic bass line and the deep melody that appears during the break. We Stay In A Jungle, as Mordor Dub Mix, haves a lot of work present in the percussions, which are again, the most prominent element that sets the foundation of the groove that leads the track. With a marked minimalistic approach, this track easily gets you into a fantastic mind trip. The fxs and delayed vocals in the background also helps a lot to create this amazing atmosphere too. Definitely this ep, its a perfect first part for a series of two releases from this talented Italian producer yet to come.
