Patrick Turner's latest EP for Dubwise starts out quite forebodingly with the wickedly dark and heavy-handed warehouse vibes of Consecration. Backward resonances, voices out-of-sky, and chilling darkwave synths are commanded by stern techy drumwork and smoldering aural atmospheres. The Rob Pearson Remix continues the psychedelic House lunacy while bridging the original's temperament with skillful drum work and sonorous bass stabs. The Patrick's second original song, Sunday's Best comes across with sunrise island surf echoes and flowing melodic winds. Flanged phased and modulated synths underpin the driving bassline and deft drumwork. Closing the Ep out is a mesmerizing Funtom Remix with also utilizes summer vibes with a fine recapitulation of the melodic sensibilities originally stated while driving things even deeper into the sunset.
