Brett Johnson delivers his best work on Hudd Traxx since the infamous Bounce EP on Classic. A Tiger Within demonstrates Brett’s ability to create forward thinking house music and will appeal to fans of Sonar Kollektiv, Innervisions, Metro Area & it’s currently a big favourite with Dixon. Brett uses minimal beats with a warm bassline and synthy melodies to create a slice of cutting edge music. The B side is reminiscent of Brett’s earlier work which is no bad thing. Mr Smarty Pants is a peak time groover that is receiving support from the likes of Laurent Garnier, Johnny Fiasco & Nacho Marco. ‘Last but not least is Déjà Vu’ which is a techy affair that combines tight beats, a dangerous rolling bassline and sexy female vocal snippets. This is one of the best Hudd Traxx to date and is a must for any collector.
Feedback:
Dixon - please send me tiger within. dix
Nacho Marco - full support as usual, really nice tracks, liking Mr.Smarty Pants a lot !
Johnny Fiasco - All three are solid! I am feeling the “smarty pants” vibe!!
Attias - dope tunes, will play for sure. lovin the groove and sounds..
Lawnchair Generals - LOVE EM!!!!!! Brett is the man as usual, but he’s truly killing it this time. My favorite is “Mr. Smarty Pants”, but that may be because I am one
Hector Moralez - thanks guys def liking this release. All tracks on this one are dope and they work very well at anytime on the dance floor.
Lil’ Mark - Excellent production and 3 super strength tracks. Brett continues to move with the times as usual seperating the medioca from the superior. This better come out on wax motherfuckers
Littlemen - smarty pants if my fav, will play for sure, also like Deja Vu
Andy Riley - smarty pants ‘is cool
Luke Mckeehan - the shit is hot as hell
Q Burns - Mr. Smarty Pants seems to be the early favorite .. has a lot of the elements I like, including quite a crafty rhythm.
