My Carts

Italian DJ and producer Hermann Dius aka Emmanuel De Caprio, debuts on Piston with this tasty two tracker, Baht. Hermann has taken a keen interest in music from an early age, at just 10 years old, he got into house music and became influenced by people like Luciano, Loco Dice, DJ Simi, Shlomi Aber, Darius Syrossian, Carlo Lio, Marco Effe, Robert Dietz, Reboot, Alex Picone and Joseph Maesano. This kind of music became part of his life. With hard work and dedication he gained a solid reputation as a DJ and at the age of 20 he got the chance to play alongside DJ's like Smoking Jo, Pako S, DJ Fiore and Antonio Grassia. Soon after he began to produce his own sounds under the name Manuel Bros, with a little help from his friend Marra Luigi aka Mar-L. Their music got releases on labels such as Push Push Music, 1980 Recordings, Composure Records, Datagroove Records and Arteria Music Label. Now going solo we are delighted to have this guy on board at Piston.

Baht intros with a bright and fresh open hat alongside a well rounded punchy kick and swirling pad in the background creating a nice bounce to the sound. An urbanised spoken vocal brings a cool street vibe and leads the way in keeping a raw element alive. Tight, slicing snares cut through the sound perfectly as the bouncy bass infects your bones drawing you to the floor. A nice spritely slice of upbeat house grooves that will brighten up any set no doubt.

Boiler brings a nice tough, chunky kick and sharp percussion combi on the intro and sets the track up for a ride deep into tech house grooves. The sounds takes on various guises as raw analogue basses are matched against those slicing hats and cool one shot vocals. Warm chords litter the groove providing the deeper house elements that bind the track together. A beautifully constructed arrangement that will definitely appeal to the more discerning floors out there.
