apaull

apaull is a dutch-canadian writer/producer/dj and live performer. He writes and produces mostly techno but with forays into indie dance, synthwave and downtempo. He has created and crafted a signature sound and aesthetic replete with 1980s and 1990s sonic references that drive his tracks to unexpected places, while still embracing modern sensibilities. His tracks explore and make nuanced references to the various political issues of the day. Dance by all means but maybe later try and decipher the (subliminal) messages over a coffee. Tracks are mostly released on his furnace room records label. He has had the opportunity work with and/or be supported industry heavy hitters including Abe Duque, John Selway, Blake Baxter, Christian Smith, Dave Clarke, Rhys Fulber, John Digweed, Neil Landstrumm, Developer, Dina Summer and Ross Harper.
