Division Code

Division Code are a British/Irish electronic music duo based out of Lagos in Portugal. Their sound is a culmination of melodic techno combined with deep house and just a dash of pop. Languid piano loops and a driving kick-beat provide the platform for harmony-heavy vocal scores. Niall Hills is a multi-instrumentalist (piano/guitar/drums) producer, music teacher and DJ. He provides much of the composition of the tracks and has forged his own mellifluous style of arpeggio-led techno. David Lugg (composition and vocals) has a background within musical theatre in London which ultimately emanates into a unique style of delivery. The lyrics are often sombre in tone, yet conversely, the cadence of the beat keeps the overall sound positive and uplifting.
