Beat maker for "Tha Blue Herb" ONO finally completed his 2nd solo albums of photos over the past two years. The emphasis of this album is the pursuit of a more simple dance music, techno feel that is a genre much different genre than his every day hip hop tracks for Tha Blue Herb but non the less you can hear the relationship. His inspiration comes not only from a sense of hip hop, but also techno, dub, electronica and various other genres of music, his sensitivity and MPC, and culminates itself in O.N.O's break beats. THA BLUE HERB is an extremely successful group in the current Japanese hip hop industry, in terms of sales, the quantity and the quality of their products and the experience in performing. What is astounding and the reason they are said to be miraculous is that they managed to achieve that with out the help of major record companies, without having anybody backing up - only with the music they created, through a label they found themselves, in their hometown, without appearing on tv, in the truly underground way. During their 12-year career, which started out with them being anonymous and penniless, having no other choices but to climb out of the bottom rung, their struggle has touched many audience beyond its hip hop community. Their messages that are delivered from the North end of the country has been revised, refined, re-constructed and developed further up to this day. Having great venues such as Precious Hall, being distant from the centre, Sapporo city has always been embracing authentic music based on real life experience. Such unique environment of this snow-covered city is heavily reflected in the attitude and their musical sensibility. With their free and adventurous mind nurtured from being backpack travelers, they crossed over many music genres, took in all the influences and created a genuinely original style of hip hop far away from Tokyo or New York City.
