Establishing itself as a hub for off-kilter dance explorations, [S.I.C] is proud to present it’s latest signing Kinky Noodles with ‘The Mystic Toad’.
Produced by Label Honcho Mojo Filter, Kinky Noodles are an alternative dance band that also happen to own over 20k’s of Funktion one soundsystem (just thought we’d mention that!) and have been experimenting with it for the last ten years. The result is a toadally out-there live act that seems to exhude a pent chant for the weird and wonderful.
With references to Bees, Lobsters, Whales and now Toads amongst other creatures – expect to hear a plethora of wigged-out organic sounds attuned to the disco jibe of their signature beats.
Management at [SIC] disco-vered these guys recently at the same gig and saw the potential for a mad-cat single – with killer remixes – and here it is.
Justin Robertson took to this so well he volunteered an extra Swamp-Funk mix for the release. Say no more!
Psychemagik have ripped-open the club scene of late with Space-Terrace anthem and Tom Middleton fave remix of Fleetwood Mac’s ‘Everywhere’ . There is also an immeasurably brilliant Talking Heads remix of Naieve Melody you HAVE to track-down too. Dang! these newbies are even signed to Warner for an album so catch them while they are hot! Their remix is proper samp-tech-funk.
Mojo Filter goes straight in for the tech-toad re-lick giving it something for the likes of Ben Watt and Villalobos to mull-over. Phat, groovy and spacious psychedelic minimal spells keep the floor jumping.
Croaky, freak-scene grooves-a-plenty on this package of remixes, made to swamp the floor in fresh-weirdy beats. With Support from Kissy Sellout, Eddy Temple-Morris and Graeme Park - this is breaking new swamp as we speak !!
