'Décollage' is the inaugural release on CutOff!CutOff!'s RSNTR Rec. imprint which serves as a platform for uncompromised expression on the darker fringes of Techno and Electronica. Comprised of three off-kilter tracks, the hefty package indicates the leftfield position the label is prone to take. The title track 'Décollage' is a barely tamed beast of glitchy modular synths, a highly textured wall of bass and a beat which is several tons heavy and owes as much to British Murder Boys as it does to Planet Mu. 'New Realism' demonstrates further nuances of CutOff!CutOff!'s sound design. A punishing, abrasive synth riff pushes through distorted percussion, giving way only to an immense low end. The polyrhythmic patterns in 'Recursion' eventually leave some room to breathe while conforming to the release's overall sinister ambience and cavernous sonics.
