Thembernator is a South African recording artist. Born and raised from the humble beginnings of the rural Eastern Cape in Xhume location in a very small town called Tsomo, Thembernator has certainly built himself as an indisputable brand through different forms of art.
The Song Mene-Mene (Xhosa description for blatant liar), was mainly inspired by a break up. Thembernator was going through a breakup from a relationship that he strongly felt was based on lies and being used in.
The song represents all the victims of the so called casual relationships by gold diggers. It is a very resentful song where he asked Yintoni nah, uxoka kangaka? meaning why do you have to lie so much? and metaphorically talks about the un-healing scars that were caused by the consequences of the toxic relationship! Petty shit right there!
