This year's most sought after styles are anything but basic, and Modmotif has once again provided the trends that have tastemakers turning their heads. Next on the catwalk for Modmotif's third seasonal release is a guise costumed by Odi Diaz. While Odi spends a lot of time handcrafting others' tunes into sharp and dynamic long-legged ensembles, it shouldn't be forgotten that he himself is a well-groomed production designer. His first distinguished garment "It's All Good" is a slicked-up house ensemble complete with savvy vocals. It's accompanied by an unexpectedly full and flaring bass line richly decorated with a rounded, floaty synth lick-perfect for summer outings poolside or seaside. Odi's second little number "For the Reason" is refreshingly noble with a well-tailored sub bass frame masterfully rendered with swirling synths and gracefully flowing pads, sure to standout in any sunrise or opening set.
The remixes are just as pleasingly extravagant with support duties responsibly constructed by Brian Busto and Joe Bond. Brian Busto makes a statement with his rendering of "It's All good" The "go vibe" wear includes a form-fitting main synth that perfectly compliments the tapered bass line and charming phonetic overtones draped throughout. Joe Bond indulges us with his vision of "For the Reason:" bold and colorful percussion embellishing shabby chic vocals and decadent, supple bass.
Modmotif's third collection is both tasteful and stunning, a lively look at tech house regalia sure to add swag to anyone's melodic wardrobe.
