There are three things at play on Fardin Ameri's Sunspot EP: soul, vitality and a certain melodic recklessness which is almost definitely responsible present mood is more of a canorous freedom remains. It manifests itself in his wordssynthscaping.
'Hassan' comes as something of a surprise. Here, he tweaks many aspects of the trackthe throbbing lead synth, particularly, as well as the percussionbut the whole is clearly focused. It's the best version here by far.
'Badan' are cinematic in scope and lush in sound. Fardin summons his inner colliding laser-beam sequences into shapeshifting chords for an ambience of sepia-tinted science-fiction. This beat-free environment works for him, while the 'Sunspot' bustles nicely on the low end but is sort of one-note on top.
