Bristol native, DJ Mixjah, draws his influence from a variety of styles in his productions including dub, reggae, garage, and oldskool. He made a huge (Jungle) splash in 2015 with his official remix of Bounty Killer's 'Been bad Riddim'. Then in 2016 he went on to set up his very own Masterpeace Recordings where he released the 'Subculture' and 'Calling' EP's. His collab with DJ Embassy 'Drop The Bass' features on the recent Ghetto Dubz Vol 1 album on Ghetto Dub, now, he returns to Masterpeace with the 'Ghetto Hustle' EP
Title track 'Ghetto Hustle' comes in two distinct flavours, the original, a sizzling fusion of Bristol Bass, Garage and Breaks with euphoric vocals and pulverising subs. A versatile track that will fit into a variety of sets and will always ignite the crowd. Then the Brummie D&B badman K-Jah, seasons it with his signature stepper skank formula and a bassline that can be heard all the way from Birmingham to Bristol!!! 'Who Am I' is a ragga infused dancefloor annihilator with surly synths and angry stepping drums, one for the headstrong who like their bangers loud and rowdy!!!
Old school legend Vinyl Junkie completes the ep with his sick remix of 'we run the dance' , a deep bassline heavy roller that will have you doing the one-foot skank for real. Ravers are you ready?
A tidy little collection of tracks to bring Masterpeace back into the fold after a little winter break!
