After running into My Friend Dario recently, Hell Yeah chief Marco fell in love with some of the music he was played and so this next release had to happen.
'Calamari Fritti' kicks off with six horizontal minutes of gentle yet persuasive beach house. Drum tumbles and thoughtful chords sooth your soul while 'Deco' is a more loose and jumbled track with jazz chords, a whistling lead synth and organic percussion that sounds played by a live band.
The excellent 'Sunset Outro' takes a slightly darker turn, with heavy kicks and melancholic chords building an atmosphere. The chugging drums eventually get overlaid with a searching lead synth and vocal sounds that is perfect for getting the crowd into a groove. Slipping down into super slow, spacious late night ambient house territory is 'Nodvmark', which is perfect zoned out for at home listening. Last of all, the dreamy 'Norma' reminds you of warmer days with its lullaby like melodies and cloud like synths, which drift by on a Balearic breeze.
