Mirapid is an electronic musician from Bristol. His warm productions move gently through moments of urban introspection, sound system hypnosis and drug induced euphoria to create a unique and personal approach to modern electronic music. While his music nestles comfortably in the ever-expanding void between early dubstep productions and all its subsequent mutant strains, an emphasis on consistent mood or feeling ties his diverse tracks together, rather than relying on tempo or genre to define his sound. 'The Green Season EP' is his first solo release in his Mirapid incarnation. Soon to be released on brand new Bristol imprint Ghosted Records. The EP contains a small selection of tracks made in his Bristol home, marking the beginning of many solo releases from this seasoned producer and vocalist. A wildly imaginative music video for this release has been created by Bristol director Chris Lucas. The video was premiered at this year's Edinburgh Short Film Festival and continues to wow viewers at film events worldwide. Mechanical sea monsters, dark cityscapes and strange nocturnal pets create a chilling backdrop for Mirapid's track 'Morning' featured in the forthcoming EP. Previous Mirapid incarnations include being producer and vocalist (Sosé) from celebrated triphop/hiphop act Sé Fire. Whose debut album Match in the Ocean was released in 2012 on Bristol label Durkle Disco. Remixer for Bristol ska legends Babyhead. Guest vocalist for festival favorites Chemical Dub Theory, a string of production and song writing credits for numerous other artists and film music work. Various other collaborative works are in the pipeline for Mirapid but this project is by far the most personal and introspective of his productions. Creating an outlet for his bass heavy style that concentrates on conveying a strong sense of mood and feeling as well as serious low-end pressure. This EP is something very special from a producer who is notorious for playing his cards close to his chest preferring to let the vibrations speak for themselves….
