Evo Music's first release of 2014 brings us yet another quality selection, with five tracks exhibiting the full range of their sound. Andy Lemac kicks things off with 'Jambora', a sophisticated, up tempo track with nu-disco influence. This track has summer written all over it, a track for peak time perhaps? Next Stride cools things down with a wintry, chilled house track, airing an ambience best suited to the deeper end of a musical set. The kicks and groove will keep you nodding to the crescendo and beyond. New signing Harry Arnold is gladly brought back to the table bringing with him a subdued and classy number. 'Be One' is a low slung minimal house track focusing on percussion groove and sub bass, one for the after hours maybe? Dan Meyers debut for Evo is a good one and fits perfectly with the sound you'd expect from the label. This hypnotic deep house track rolls effortlessly with tight percussion and smooth bass. Expect more from this up and coming producer in the future! The final twist comes from another label newcomer, London based Felipe Kastegliano. 'Twisted Disco' is fairly self explanatory. This complex ear feast is a must for those that lean toward deep house with a darker edge.
