Some twelve years after 'Components 3', Electracom re-launches the series with the fourth various artists EP. Joining label owner Damon Vallero for 'Components 4' are three highly respected techno producers.
Kosovo's Vegim needs little introduction being that country's foremost techno artist. Having started in the studio in the early 2000's, his tracks have been released on many of the scene's leading labels and supported by just about every top techno DJ.
There is a welcome return for Japanese producer Hiroaki Iizuka who appeared on the first two Components and who has continued releasing his own unique brand of techno on labels like Self Reflektion, Them, Theory and Coda .
H.Paul from Spain makes up the trio of guest producers on the release. A ten year career has seen him play extensively in his home country and he is rapidly gaining recognition for his dark driving techno productions that frequently appear in many top DJ's charts.
Kraterion from Vegim kicks off the EP with a dark brooding workout of high dancing bell tones and twisted electronics that give the track a menacing other worldly feel.
SQ16 by Hiroaki is a bubbling insistent analogue bass line that merges with a delayed atonal synth building to a chaotic climax.
Irca from H.Paul is great stomping techno decorated with reverbed percussion and insistent synths that keep the groove solidly locked on.
Finishing off the release is Scanned by Damon Vallero merging driving rhythms and jagged shards of sound to create a relentless hypnotic ending to the EP.
