A hot new discovery from San Diego, Eight-Fifteen is proud to present Jesse Austin with his first release, 'Blue Moon'. With two tracks built around some luscious female vocals, this release highlights Jesse's production talents, as he incorporates moody pad elements with driving house beats. Also included is Moon Dub done completely live as Jesse delves into his techno background. Vincent Kwok toughens things up with his 'Once In A.' mixes, anchored by a driving synth bassline overlaid with luscious synth pads and a breakdown that incorporates sample chopping-and-dicing. Rounding off the package are a pair of moody mixes by Lance Leber with arpeggiated synth basslines and dark pads.
Jesse Austin began his music career in 1992 when he started a mobile DJ business that catered to high school dances, graduation parties and sports events. In 1995, Jesse was introduced to underground electronic music. He was hooked as soon as he heard it, and dedicated all of his time and energy into learning how to mix and produce electronic dance music. Since then, Jesse has held DJ residencies in Boston, New York, Toronto, New Orleans, Rochester, Buffalo, and San Diego. He has also performed live hardware gigs on both the east and west coasts, incorporating the knowledge he gained from being a DJ into his ever-evolving collection of hardware gear. His live sets are a journey through house and techno, with his own personal touch motivating the dancefloor to frenzied heights.
