The band's debut single, Bamboo Hut is a slab of outrageously infectious, anthemic power pop. The shamelessly horny vocal, builds to an unhinged crescendo over a plethora of hypnotic sub base tribal drums, trashy guitars and electronic drips and squeaks. The Styrafoamkid remix sees Bamboo Hut transformed into a prowling, Goldfrapp-esque groove. Styrafoamkid is noted for his hugely successful collaboration Time Of Our Lives with Paul Van Dyk with the band Vega4, as well as numerous releases on the Ministry of Sound/Cream compilations. Remixed by Gella, the song is turned into a skittering electro bop reminiscent of Basement Jaxx at their most hysteric. One of the heroes of the London breakbeat scene, Gella came to prominence in 2008 for his remixes for Baobinga and ID, Unique 3, Elite Force and Merka and for his work with Bassrock and Mutate Records. Stripped back to basics, Bamboo Hut is given a Dubstep make-over by DJ & producer Swell. Swell is the label manager of seminal dance imprint Botchit & Scarper as well as rising Dubstep label Studio Rockers.
