If music would be pictures, hand-crafted and chosen in its perfect moments, Berlin-based music label Cine Records would hold an exhibition with audible selections as their first various artists compilation.
"Scines" introduces ten artists from five different countries where their music scenes could not be more diverse. So is the track selection of this compilation.
Starting this journey with Veronique Jacques' neo-classical "Blár" then wandering over the fields of Irish-electronica by Rachael Boyd and Nouveaunoise, the compilation's sound flows into deep house influenced plateaus of Balu Brixton and Andreas Thomas. Peaking with Viktor Birgiss' and Moff & Tarkin's icelandic straightness the collection brands monumental memories. Climbing down with Anneke Laurent's and Elpierro's smoother tracks accompany the listener's quest to Hior Chronik's Greek valley "Behind The Mountains".
"Always take a picture for everywhere you go; if you don't, then all you just lost was the precious memories and moments."
