Growing up in the Tampa Bay Area there was no shortage of musical influences around Aidan Draxten aka True Self. His love for the Freestyle & Miami Bass sound spawned from his many nights at the skating rink with his jam skate crew. From there his step dad, DJ UPNYA introduced him to old school FL breaks and Aidan was hooked. He got his first synthesizer and a set of Technic 1200s at 16. That led to countless hours in his home studio learning and perfecting his craft. His main areas of focus are breaks, electro, garage and house.
