Originally from Vladivostok, Russia, on the Far East, Ev Rymd, formerly known as The Loco, began his musical journey in 2015. Drawing initial inspiration from Eric Prydz, Jeremy Olander, and Fehrplay, he developed a unique sound that blends intricate melodies with dynamic rhythms. After gaining substantial experience, he rebranded to Ev Rymd and also produces music under the name Evgenii Rymd, primarily releasing on Early Origin label. Under this name, he retains elements of his earlier style from when he produced as The Loco. Now based in the United States, Ev Rymd continues to evolve as an artist. He is the creator of ‘The Episodes’ podcast series, which focuses mainly on underground progressive house.
